hanibal turkey	my husband is away in iraq hes my hero!! I completely and totaly respect any solider. i can understand why you aksed this question its hard being caught in the middle many forget that soliders are people too.It makes me so angry and sad to see people that dont understand whats going on and drag the poor soliders into a political argument and disrepect them. ive read some of your answers many are great. however theres many that contradict like i hate what you stand for but i dont hate you. or no i dont hate you but i hate bush no one asked about bush again dragging politics in on a solider. its like saying i like you but i dont like your boss when they never had to work with your boss. when your boss is the president and your a solider thats like saying i dont like your job which is a part of you as a solider but i like you which is such a huge contradiction. how can you like someone if you dont like what they stand for especially since you stand for your country who cares rather they disagree with the war or bush they should still respect you and all of the soliders because you guys have to face things that others have never dreamed of facing in there lives. When I consider the brave men and women who struggle among the chaos that continues in the middle east, I am reminded of what the definition of a True Patriot is... Having been a soldier myself, I imagine that you are there, doing what you are told and hoping that it makes a difference that does not get you killed. Anyone who hates a soldier does not understand what it means to be one. Nonetheless, almost every life that succeeds in the world today, owes a debt of respect to those who do what must be done so that our world may flourish. Be Strong and Courageous! You've made the decision to stand up for your country and for all those people in the world who cannot fight for themselves. It's not your choice to go to Iraq, you have to go. I don't agree with continued British and American prescence in Iraq but that is not down to the individuals on tour there. mckenziecalhoun	American soldiers, sailors, etc., are my heroes and the heroes of my child and wife. I teach my students the difference between heroes and role-models. Military men and women are may be role-models and almost certainly are heroes (risk their lives for us). Teachers, popstars, and sports figures are SOMETIMES role-models, but very rarely heroes. If my daughter wants to be a military woman, she has my support and my wife's support, with a great deal of pride behind it. zappafan	You do what you do because you chose that path in life - I don't hate you personally however I cannot understand why anyone would want to go into a line of work knowing that they may have to kill someone else just like them (with a wife and kids etc) just for a pay check...
