No because our military is brain washed and think they are doing what is right. I guess if you think killing or being killed for oil is a just cause...........they are!

How does Bush sleep at night? How could anyone in the military be loyal to that scum?
Yes they swear to uphold the Constitution, and by reference, are loyal to the President but since the President currently has contempt for the Constitution, they need not have any loyalty to him personally anymore. He has given away that right.

This is why I always preferred constitutional monarchies to republics - a Sovereign is superior to a politician.

My loyalty is serving this country in whatever the cause, right or wrong. Your honor and duty is to yourself. Please allow me to protect your freedom of speech, your right to worship how you wish, to give my very life so you can enjoy freedom in the US! And the moment you don't believe the military doesn't protect those rights or there is no need for the military is the day I hope your house is bombed!!!!!!

What an idiot you are. Bush has NEVER been convicted of a crime! Don't you think the Liberals in Washington would have brought him up on impeachment charges if he had broken any law?
State the law he has broken and we will talk. If you can not produce this, then shut up. Just by saying he broke the law does NOT make it so!

The Constitution protects your right to have your own opinions, but not your own facts. Get your head out of your butt. Start reading actual news, and not just your commie marching order web sites.

your opinion of the president is your opinion. period. the military is the only thing standing between freedom and the people in this world who would like us all (including you) dead. instead of insulting the military, you should be kissing their collective rears because they are protecting your right to put questions like yours on here.

So, tell me - In what court (other than the court of your mind) has Bush been convicted of a crime?
I thought so.
Anyway, yes, the oath is to the Constitution. What on earth makes you think that people are swearing to Bush? Is it the voices in your head? Do you think we swore loyalty to Bill the Draft Dodger, too? No, of course not. So why would it be any different today?
Really, this is not a question though - just an opportunity to slander the President, transparently disguised as a question

They are fulfilling to their oaths to protect and defend the Constitution and Pres Bush is NOT a war criminal. To believe so is irrational. You need to get a grip and deal with reality, not your pathetic fantasies.

You don't make any sense. The Constitution states that the President of the United States of America has command/control of the military. If it just so happens that Bush is the president, then so be it.
"I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." - United States Military Oath of Enlistment.

Did you catch the unintended irony in your post where you appear to ignore the US Constitution in declaring somebody a criminal?
Sounds like the people in the military are more loyal to the US Constitution than you are.

Since the President is the commander in chief of the US armed forces then the US military must obey all legal orders given by the president.
If the president conducted unconstitutional actions then the US congress would have brought impeachment charges against him. Had the president acted in a criminal manner then the democratic led congress would have been more than happy to bring forth impeachment proceedings.
He did not, therefore no charges could be brought against him.
The military must obey all legal orders or they are in fact acting in an unconstitutional manner since the president of the US is the commander in chief of the US armed forces. It is very dangerous to think that the military should be allowed to make decisions on its own as to their use, elected officials are tasked with doing that, not the military.
The current combat actions that the US is engaged in are not criminal according to international, and US law. It was perfectly legal to invade Iraq and depose the Iraqi government due to the fact that Saddam Hussein violated the 1992 peace accord he signed by not allowing UN inspectors access to certain facilities in his country.
The action taken against the Taliban led government in Afghanistan was perfectly legal according to international, and US law.
Just because you do not agree with those actions doesn’t make them criminal, nor does it make the actions of the military personnel involved unconstitutional.
Those in the military are given a clear understanding of what constitutes a legal and illegal order, you on the other hand obviously do not possess that understanding.

I was in the Army. I did very well. However, I only was able to think independently once I got out and went to college.
When you are in the service, its a bit like communism: you are programmed to think a certain way, and no matter what, your government is always right, just like it is in a communist state.
I am neither a liberal, or a democrat. I don't pay much attention to titles, because people call you what they want without knowing much about you.
I do know that I am an educated man, who certainly is bright enough to know when something is not right. For those in the military that still think their government is always right, just wait until you get out (if you have the guts to make it in the financial world). They won't be helping you one bit, and nobody will ever care that you even served at all, believe me.
