Of course many people will say it's obvious they're not getting what they need if they are cheating, but the reasons behind are not so obvious. A lot of men become sexually bored and frustrated in long-term relationships because they don't feel like they are getting enough excitement from their partner. This often isn't the fault of the woman, but the fact that men are often not comfortable with sharing some of their sexual fantasies for fear of rejection. So instead of talking to their wife or girlfriend about it, they might go to another woman who doesn't matter so much and is able to fulfill their sexual desires without the man fearing rejection of his fantasies from his partner. In short, cheating often comes from not having open enough communication. Of course, there are also instances in which men don't feel like they have a strong enough/supportive enough emotional bond and that they need to go to someone else who connects with him better. There are also the men who don't find their partners intellectually stimulating enough and will also turn to women who intrigue and challenge them. Of course there are also the morons who don't know what they are doing and just cheat because they can, but in most cases cheating is a red flag that a man is feeling that some aspect of his relationship is lacking. Of course, women do this too, but I think men get accused of cheating more often because women generally have more of a tendency to talk these things out BEFORE they do the cheating, whereas many men who might not be so good at communicating will do the cheating before they will admit they have a problem.
