No. If I wanted to live for my own pursuits, I would not have married, but I got married with the understanding that alot of sacrifices may have to be made depending on where we decided to go or what to do together as one unit. I would suggest talking with your spouse about how important your career is to you and making some sort of comprimise. Getting a divorce would indicate one does not have a good grasp of marriage, however.

I would find it unusual that this was not part of the conversation when dating. So after the dating process and then become a significant other, you changed your career path, then it is wrong to ditch them. If you were an idiot and never talked about future goals and important life decisions before becoming someones significant other, then you really should not even be with this person. So do them a favor and take the blame for ending this farce of a relationship.
