Jessica!	yes they can. Just becuase there is a friend of the opposite sex doesn't mean that they are going to do things with them. It is healthy for each spouse to have have a variety of friends. So when he has other friends of the opposite sex then they are just friends, because he wouldn't of married you if he was still busy messing around with other women. Plus women always have that gut feeling (instinct) when something is not right in a relationship, so when you get that feeling then do a little questioning and start worrying. Colleen O	Yes, I am a female and my very best friend is a married man...I've known him since he dated on of my friends in highschool...about 40 years. I've known his wife since they got married about 35 years ago. She has known about our friendship the entire time. I am god mother to their eldest daughter and god mother to their eldest grand daughter. His wife was/is secure enough within her self as well as her marrige to know I'm not a threat to either one. kchase	this depends on the couple. if the wife is insecure then no but if the wife knows her husband loves her and would never cheat one her and he is trustworthy and is honest about who he is talking to then why not. my husband has female friends but i do know who they are and have met them all although we are really not friends. he does not go out with these women only talks to them on the phone and at work. if the woman is secure with the relationship there souldn't be a problem. although i did have a prob with one of the females my husband was talking to but after talking to him they don't talk all that much anymore and i am ok with them being friends i just wanted her to back off a little. i know my husband loves me and that is all that matters. if a woman knows that she won't be so insecure.
