Should I continue schooling?
I am almost done with my bachelors and just got an awesome job as a paralegal.... I really wanted to go to law school, but if I do I will have to quit the paralegal job. I will then have no job and be racking up the student loans for law school.... what should I do?

Ahhh, this is SUCH a hard decision. I am sorry miss k. but I think in this situation you should do whatever is harder. becuase it will be worth it in the end. don't choose the answer based on the fact that this whole thing is overwhelming you.

All money aside... one thing that can't be taken away from you is your education. There will always be someone younger, faster, or smarter than you. But if your education tops whatever degree they have, you are the winner! Continue schooling and reap the rewards in the long run.

I think the paralegal job will teach you so much about law, but I would not put law school off forever. Stay with your current job for a while, save some money and pick a target date to get back into school. That is so great you found your niche so soon in life! All the best to you!

Try to find out if you can go to law school on a part-time basis, like after work first. If its possible, then you can have your job and go to school at the same time.

Miss K,
there is nothing like in debt lawyers who keep looking for a great job. Did u know that most lawyers aren't pulling those 6 figure incomes every one thinks they are?
Keep ur paralegal job. Save ur money. pay off ur bills. Save ur money. take classes evenings that transfer to law school if not take second job - save money.
go to the state school (lower costs) watch the lawyers at work decide who to mentor with and who not to.
when it comes to school, five yrs in practice it will not matter, all that matters is u win/loss card.
visit daveramsey.com to learn why many lawyers live paycheck to paycheck and have "job"s.

Check to see if you can take night classes. ask you self how much does a paralegal make?? u can became a paralegal with just an associates degree. rememeber after your bachelor degree its only 2 more years for a masters which will open many new doors for you in your career. but then again a bachelors degree is pretty good to.
