Paycheck not for amount of money I should be making?
I am supposed to be making $30,000 a year = $2500/month yet each of my twice monthly paychecks is for $1153=$2306 monthly. After all the deductions its $921. I am soooo sick and tired of this bs, I feel every employer I have ever had (5) has done this to some extent. Can someone explain this? What should I do?

Yeah, its all a plot to screw you over. You get paid every 2 weeks, genius...not twice monthly. There's a difference. If you're able, multiply 1153 times 26 and think about the answer before you go off half ****** again.

this is normal. not sure what you're complaining about. every worker has to deal wiht this unless they are working for straight cash. but then they are still required to report this to the IRS and still file a return and pay the taxes when they are due.
part goes to social security (this is not just for you if you retire but your family should you die). also some goes to state disability, this will give you some money shoud you ever get disabled and cannot work. and the rest goes to pay for taxes. and those get split between federal and state and city. but cover your main services police, fire, public works, water treatment, infrastructure, schools.
I don't know about you but I don't want dirty streets, no cops, no firemean, no insurance if you can't work and dirty sewage and people with no education.

Ever heard of taxes? The government takes their chunk too. Maybe you should increase your dependents so they take less taxes out per check.

Do you get paid every two weeks or twice a month? It makes a difference in how the gross is calculated.

Every two weeks is 26 pay periods in a year and twice monthly is 24 pay periods in a year.

Biweekly is a 30,000/26 = 1,153.85 per pay check.

Twice monthly is 30,000/24 = 1250.00 per pay check.

This answer is based on U.S. pay

This all depends:

You are making $14.42 an hour

Social Security deducts 6.2%
Medicare deducts 1.45%
Federal Withholding deduction varies based on your marital status and the number of exemptions your take and the fequency in which you are paid. (Weekly, semi-weekly, etc.)

If you can supply that infoprmation, I'd be glad to tell you what your FWT would be.

Your base pay however, should be $2500.00 per paycheck if you get paid semi-monthly (for example on the 1st and 15th of every month) it would be different if you were paid every other Friday or if you were paid every Friday.

Feel free to email me if you need me to figure up what you'd make exactly.
