Theft is not a good role model conduct for teenagers. So, yes there will be alot of questioning about that if anyone looks at your resume.

well i live in texas, and i know a little bit about the law, and i'm 100% sure that a felony conviction, 10 years after the completion of sentence, cannot be considered as reason for denial for most jobs (providing that the offender hasn't committed other crimes.) i'm sure a misdemeanor falls in the same boat. misdemeanor theft, although its not right, is not all that serious of a crime and shouldn't even come up on a background check after 10 years. you might want to contact a lawyer about career-specific information or to have the record sealed, as it can be done in the state of texas.
