I want to pursue a career in law but don't know if i'm suitable.?
I'm an avid reader, have a good vocabulary, I love english, and languages at school, like solving puzzles. I also did an aptitude test at school and scored 95 percent higher than my age group at verbal reasoning, spelling, speed and perception, and analytical reasoning. yeah I was pleased but is this kind of aptitude suitable. also when people put pressure on me, my brain sometimes goes blank so a lot of people think i'm quite dim.

Doesn`t really matter about your aptitude (no offense). It really comes down to your determination. If you only want to be a criminal lawyer and couldn`t care less about constitutional law or property or trusts then you may have a problem getting through law school. I`ve met and appeared against many ditsy lawyers, it just comes down to how much you want to do it. It`s a large commitment and you have to be ready to wade through lots of boring legislation, thousands of judgments and lots of textbooks to become a successful lawyer though

Why is it that whenever someone asks a career-related question, they get a load of answers aadvertising what are probably dodgy home-based computer generated money making schemes!!
Now - to your question hon.. Sounds to me like you possess all the qualities a good lawyer needs. Having said that, you would, as a lawyer be required to think under pressure a lot of the time but that will come with practice. Are you interested in the law? that would be useful! see if you can find a local lawyer who might let you take a little internship with him/her after school - it'll help you decide. Also, you can always sit in your local courtroom and have a listen to what's going on...there are many different types of law you could practise...have a good think before you commit yourself. good Luck x
