john c	You don't need a lawyer. You need an affidavit from the person who last sold the car with the actual mileage. You can do the title search yourself, contact the seller, obtain the signature and file for up to $10,000.00 in small claims court. I would suggest you file for the original selling price plus your repairs (They can't be reasonable wear and tear if the mileage is incorrect) in exchange for the car. Let the court address any adjustments for your mileage. As they say, possession is nine-tenths of the law and your seller may not be to blame, but they are still responsible for this gross misrepresentation. Good Luck. Was this answer helpful to you? sarah_lynn_123	There really sin't anything you can do at this point since you have had the car and have been driving it there really is no way to pin point the exact miles it had on it before you bought it, you could go into a small claims court but I doubt anything will happen, sorry. brad_sr0138	I don't know that the statute of limitations is here in Texas, but I would definitely contact a lawyer. There has to be something that can be done. You can also contact the BBB. HealthCareProvider	That is messed up. A month ago my dad was nice enough to take my jet skii into a sea-doo dealer to get the oil changed and when he went back to pick up the skii they told my dad that they hooked the jet skii up to the computer and it had 2 coils grounded, over heated 2,000 + times, had a starter key missing, and some other things as well. I bought the jet skii new and my dad knew that it ran perfect when we stored it and that this had to be a scam. They thought my dad just bought it since it was under my name and they were trying to rip him off. I just put it in the water this weekend and it ran perfect. We are going to write a letter to sea-doo to let them know the dealership that we went to was trying to rip us off and you should try to get some kind of reimbursement for being ripped off or at least prevent the people that ripped you off from ripping other people off.
