It happened on their property so there is some grounds for a lawsuit....this question would better be answered by your lawyer. Also, good luck if you do sue your employer, because they will find every way under the sun to get you fired.....trust me!

OMG MAN. Im sorry to hear this.
And YES! If he works there and you were attacked IN the building. then yes you should! The Casino has to keep their area safe! You getting stabbed on their premises means it is not safe!
Take legal action immdeiately, Getting stabbed is not cool and you need payback.

yessss, you can even if you were off the clock or not even a employee as they are responsible for security. i strongly suggest contacting a reputable law firm or attorney and they can answer all your legal questions professionally and not on y/a. also find a attorney that listens to your case, he should not charge you a dime and if he believes you do have a good case would represent you happily on what is called a contingency basis which means no charge at all unless or until he collects a settlement. usually up to 40% which can be negotiated.

OUCH!!!!!!! :-(
I'm glad your ok enough to use the computer, but what did you do to the guy for him to just walk up and stab you like that????? (had to be something)
... but I don't think you can put an legal actions to the casino being that they probably had nothing to do with the guy attacking you. Unless there were people outside of the casino who whitnessed the guy stabbing you and didn't do a thing to help (just stood there and didn't do nothing)... I guess you could probably add that to your case.

Yes, if you can't sue the company, sue that guy. If you can't sue him, you can file charges against him.
I'm not familiar with the terms,
could be like battery?
But I think battery is when you hit someone.
Ah ****. Just sue the company and have the ***** arrested!

Ask a lawyer, if the casino hired a known violent offender, they may have some liability. I hope this guy is in jail. Make sure he is prosecuted to the fullest extent. We don't want guys like that out in society.

i would call a free lawyer and ask them, i don't think you can because it is not the casinos fault and it was after hours but you can definitely take a lot of legal action against the stabber. usually you can only sue your work if they discriminate you or don't pay you on time or pay you differently because of your race or color.

if they were aware of the man's readiness and willingness to stab random people or if he had a background of such actions maybe you could sue because you were in a hostile workplace or someting

ask a shyster/lawyer....................
i would certainly hope there are better things, then holding your employer responsible for this, to take up the valuable time of our legal system.
they probably have insurance to cover this and that is the way you should approach it. since you had not left the lot yet and were leaving work in many instances this would be covered under workers compensation. a lawsuit should be the last thing that concerns you. go into this confrontationally and looking to make a buck and you may find you get nothing at all.........
except a bill from the attorney for out of pocket expenses.
attorneys who work on contingency still charge out of pocket expenses win or lose.............read any agreement/contract very, very carefully.
