You could also ask your parents, friends and relatives if they know anyone who is a lawyer or nurse that you could speak to. It's always helpful to have been referred by someone both of you know. It gives you a common topic and may be less intimidating for you.

Warning! Jobs in the field of Law are drying up FAST!! This is not a good field to invest time and/or money in. Many reasons. Main reason?.......We simply have WAY TOO MANY Lawyers - we have a GLUT of Attorneys!
Which means: Even IF you finish law school, you probably won't be able to find a job when you are done with your studies. Plus you will owe $150,000+ in school debts.
Now the law schools won't tell you the truth> that the economy/market is simply SATURATED. A law student for a law school is easy money - they do not have to invest very much in a law student compared to other studies.
Suggestion: Consider and look into the field of HEALTHCARE! <THIS is where the jobs are!

pull out your local phone book and call an attorney, tell them what you want, you will find that most people enjoy talking about their careers, education, choice of schools and even mistakes they feel they have made.
call the local hospital and ask for HR they will know of nurses who would be interested in talking to you. you can also speak with the nurse at your own doctors office.
