Get a lawyer and take them to court. You shouldn't have to lose your job over this.

It's the state who decide your unemployment benefit eligibility. Just do what you have to do. By the way Subway is franchise, I don't think they provide health insurance, paid vacation etc. So it's a good decision to leave them. Find the real job, dude.

Definitely call corporate. Let them know that there was a conflict of interests at your store and tell them the situation. He was definitely showing favoritism. Definitely let corporate know.

Go get a job at Quizno's or McAlister's.
Report them to the Better Business Bureau and the main office.
Why waste money suing someone, when you know you won't win and it'll cost more to fight it?

Find a job somewhere else - that's really your only option. And if you resigned, you can't collect unemployment.

every state except Arizona and Alaska has no liability work place rules. this means you can be let go for any reason they deem fit....unless you can prove racism or sexual harassment, there isn;t much you can do and they will win....welcome to unfair life.....my best advice....go to law school so you protect yourself all of your life.....lawyers are the modern day soldiers in the malady of corporate evil

Sounds to me like you are fortunate to out of there! Consider it a blessing in disguise! Just start looking for a new job. You will find one that is far better than that one. With that kind of situation it wasn't going to lead you anywhere. A new job might just be your ticket into a wonderul career.

Well they can't really force you, but just sign and go to a different Subway. Work your but off and show that you're a great worker. Even better buy a Subway. Be the owner. And don't let a daughter-in-law run your life!
~Hope this helped!

file for unemployment insurance..............
quiting a job does NOT make you ineligible to draw benefits.
the qualifications to draw are based on WHY YOU LOST THE JOB not if it was termination or you quit.
when you file they will probably try to fight it and may win at first but then when you appeal they must prove that you did not have a "just cause" to quit. the law is simple it is a matter of what a reasonable person would do under the same circumstances.
IF they forced you to resign then you will qualify for unemployment (if you meet the other criteria)
