Asking&Receiving	The idea is to turn it in, but to avoid getting blamed. I would never have taken it home, but would have called it into the police at once. Since you touched it, and it may be evidence of a crime, I would get an attorney to go with you as you turn it in to the police, unless you have a friend on the force who could go with you. The simple things in life	You should hand it in to the Police. They will take your details and then contact you if it is not claimed after a certain length of time and it will be yours. That is assuming it's not proceeds from a burglary or robbery. If you just keep it and don't hand it in, it is classed as theft through finding. Best to hand it in asap. aimzapanda	Call your local police station and tell them the situation. Explain that you are worried about being watched and do not want to bring it in as you are worried.
