Ok you should definately go to the post office and ask for the manager or whoever is in charge of routes. Let them know your situation and that it makes you uncomfortable. Also let them know of the problems you've had. Be sure not to try and get him fired, then that might make him angry. I'm sure you don't want to see him angry. Hopefully they'll understand and change his route. That is the only way I can think of. Hopefully it helps!
Ok obviously there are those who think you are being silly. but he's already started harassing you. That is reason enough for them to change his route and it doesn't hurt anyone. geez people, be a little sympathetic

The dude sounds like a real creepy bastard. Maybe, you should report it to the police and document this stuff. In the case that things escalate to DEFCOM 3, you'll have a leg up with the police department. Otherwise, find someone to anonymously kick his ***. Either way, good luck.

Just say ignore it. Turn your cheek the other way. Even though it's not your fault say sorry. Don't burn any bridges because you might need to use them in the future. And sometimes getting back at someone can cause a domino effect of chaos. You'll be amazed how one little thing can cause such chaos. I remember how my sister always skipped school. The school got suspicious and did an investigation and our whole family came tumbling town. All because my dad grabbed my sisters wrist when she wanted to hang with her friends and caused a bruise on her hand then she called the cops. So just ignore it. Don't cause any drama. If that neighbor of yours thinks he's higher and tries to use anything against you, remember god crushes the arrogant.

No it isn't against the law. If you are concerned rent a post office box at the post office and have your mail delivered there instead. You can complain to the post office too, although if other people aren't complaining about him he probably won't be taken off his route.

No there is no law against that....mail men/women have to be somebody's neighbor.

You have no say in what postal carrier is assigned where. If he misbehaves in his mail delivery duties, call the postal inspectors. The fact that you don't like him is irrelevant.

Go to the post office he works out of and ask to speak with the Post Master. Tell him/her of your concerns regarding your mailman/neighbor. You may be successful in getting his route changed. Do NOT tell your mailman/neighbor of your plans to talk to his boss. Good luck.

What? Do you somehow think all mail carriers live together in some commune so that they are not neighbors with anyone else?

Get over it. This is nothing. The best thing you can do is record him saying something offense or what not. Other than that he is just like any other normal person!

no there isn't... one mail person works a route.. there aren't multiples working the same route...
if he does ANYTHING involving abuse of his duties as a mailman you can complain to the post master general.. but keep in mind doing so is accusing him of committing a federal crime
i understand you dont' like him however most people can leave their personal feelings at home and not let them interfere in work... he can most likely do the same...
if you absolutely don't want him handling your mail... and won't move.. get a po box... and have all your mail delivered there.

There is absolutely nothing illegal about a neighbor being a mailman. If you have problems with him and proof or validation of your accusations, then I suggest you go to the Main Post Office in your vicinity and file a complaint.

See if you can rent a mailbox at a post office, so your mail is not delivered to your home.
If you are living in an apartment, report your concerns to the management.
If he makes any threats to you, report him to the police!
KEEP YOUR DOOR LOCKED!!!
Good luck!

No law against it, sorry. You have two options- go to the post office and rent a po box for all your mail to go to, thus denying him the access, or b. If you really feel he is actively scanning people's mail, and have comment's he's made to back that up (I saw so and so got a bounced check notice last week), crap like that? You can file a complaint with the postal inspector of the office he works from and they will take it from there.

If you have a legitimate complaint take it up with your post office; they may change his route or (if he's truly unhinged) remove him.
Otherwise, take your meds and forget it.

Do you think mailmen should live in some secluded cave and only come out to deliver your mail?
Stop putting your trash in the hall. If you needed to get something, you shouldn't have put your trash out until you were ready to throw it away.

There isn't a law against your neighbor becoming a mail carrier. You could however bring up this tenants rudeness and 'little notes' with your landlord or building supervisor.

You could file a complaint with the post office. In the mean time have your mail forwarded to a friend or family member that won't mind your mail being delivered there. You could also get a PO box, but you would have to pay for that. You should also talk to your landlord about his disturbing behavior, chances are that someone else may have already complained. Your complaint could be just what the landlord needs to kick him out.
