How do I stop telemarketing calls from charitable organizations?

I've added my number to the on the National Do Not Call Registry, but unfortunately this doesn't apply to charitable organizations. There is an organization (the Cancer Research Fund) that calls me literally every day and I just can't get them to stop - even though I've asked them not to, and even though I have caller ID and usually don't even pick up the phone for them.
Any suggestions?

try the cease and desist route......ask if the calls are recorded when they say YES, tell them good, so you can both be REAL clear that you do NOT want any more calls from them, and if you do, you will view them as harassment and ask / take her name down when she calls, adding that you will be SURE to name her should you need to sue IF they call again.

say 'take me off your call list' if they call again then report them to to the FCC as harrassing. if they say charity is exempt from the do not call tell them harrassment is not and you will be reporting them.
