E. F. Hutton	Very good observations. The war on drugs is an abomination. Actually Anslinger's remarks are directed to black people mainly. The number of Mexican immigrants looking for work at that time was relatively small. Mexico's population, particularly near the US was rather small. For example Anslinger said, "There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others." French K	Yes, it should be. High strength marijuana can cause mental health problems, but this can be solved with THC caps. All the arguments for making cannabis illegal are wiped out by the fact that sending someone to prison will have a worse effect on them than the drug ever will.
