eyellnevrtell	It would cost you an arm and a leg to go through an legal process, not to mention, if she is in fact in Ghana, what can our legal system do about it other than write her a letter. You would probably have to fly there just to serve her papers. sdatary	1) How much do you know about this flight that was allegedly booked? Do you know what airline its on? What the flight number is? What date and time it is supposed to depart? What airport it is supposed to depart from? Unless you know most or all of the above information, your chances of confirming that she is on 'a flight' is virtually nil. Even if you have the above information, the airlines will not give you information about another persons' travels unless the person travelling is a minor and you are their parent or gardian. There is a chance that you could get the information by having someone pretend to be Rita Donu and calling the airline, however, you would do so on shaky ethical and legal ground. 2) Unless you are talking about several thousand dollars, it will not be worth your time to pursue this person across international lines to retrieve your money. If you ARE talking about thousands of dollars, you'll want to consult with an attorney, provide them with all the details you have, and determine from them how likely it is you'll be able to get and enforce a judgement against this person. The best you are probably going to be able to do is file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. While they won't get your money back, they will forward the details of your incident to the Ghanan authorities for potential criminal investigation (especially if the same person is doing this to others). Moranger	I'm pretty sure when you sent them the money you did it with the intention of trying to help some poor Innocent person but actually you got scammed. There have been a lot of scam reports that link back to Africa. The only thing that you can do is accept a loss and accept the fact that you were deceived into trusting someone and opening your heart to them only to be stabbed in the bank.
