if its a "cash in hand" job you'll be fine but if you give them your social security number ( or any p45 or similar no.) and/or they pay you into your account yo will more than likely get caught. You would deinitely be fired and the employer could in theory face charges but its very unlikely. Especially because you're 17

A serious company would probably not hiring you, as I suppose they are asking you for your working papers (green card, social-security card and so on). On those papers your birthday is written, so...
Another company who is hiring just like that and not having any legal papers from you, you should be very carefully anyway.

They would fire you for lying. You could get blackballed and no one else will hire you.

There's not much chance they'll find out unless someone tells or you get hurt. It's really not legal to ask your age.

You will get fired Immediately as they figure out your real age.
If they will do more like fine you I don't know about that.

You could put the employer in jeopardy. I wouldn't do it. They may need some identification anyways. Yes you could be fired for lying. There is a reason why they ask for that age.

Age is not a basis for discrimination, they cannot fire you for being 17.
If they do, sue them and file for unemployment.

More than likely they would just fire you. It would go on your work record, which that won't look good. If they wanted to they could get really ignorant and you could face legal issues.
