What can I do about hordes of noisy, rude, disruptive kids in front of my house?

wlfbelcher	you said nothing about them destroying anything or causing any trouble. you said that most of them live on the same street as you. all they have done is get loud, cuss and set off alarm with out damage to car. you know that kids live on the street and that they will play yet you turn on the alarm. so you know that it will be set off by a ball hitting it or kids bumping while running. i would say that you have a serious issue with children in general. kids are not ment to be kept inside all the time. they need the fresh air and the company of others their own age just like we do. the bad language is learned from ADULTS that they hear all the time. go to the families and ask if the kids can hang out in any other yard. you can not keep them out of the street or off the side walk. that is public property. if you do go to the families i would suggest that you do it nicely cause every parent i know will rip you a new one if you start bad mouthing or calling their kids names. i kow i would not let anyone do that to my kids. Crystal Blue Persuasion	It might be hard to do, but maybe you need to get to know their parents. You didn't say that their father came by and jumped on you for yelling at his kids. Did he? If he did you have a big problem, but if he was receptive to your complaints, you may have missed an opportunity to enlist his help. You can't shoot em and eat em. crystal lee	Very simply just call the police while the problem is happening. Especially if its after curfew. If they are under age the parents will be in trouble. You didnt mention what time of the day it was or night. If its day time, then you have no choice then to tell them to leave the front of your house. Jan	If they are on your property,you have every right to call the police,and I would do it every time they are there. I can sympathize,my porch is a magnet for the skateboarders in my neighborhood. They think because there is a small patio and then my steps,it would make a great jump ramp. I go out and tell them to leave once,if they don't leave,I call the police. All I need is for one of them to fall and crack their head open on my property,then I'll get sued. They do not have the right to trespass on your property,even if they are just kids.
