Police Officer Rapes, Sodomizes 7 year Old Girl for 1 Year. No Prison Time. Full Pension. Is This Right?
|
Here's the link
http://enterprise.southofboston.com/articles/2005/05/21/news/news/news03.txt
This cop raped a little 7 year old for one year and doesn't get any prison time. No sexual predator list. Full police retirement pension.
This is typical police treatment for police pedophiles.
The police say that it was in the best interest of the girl not to prosecute the cop. It might be because the police department brotherhood would have probably gone to any lengths and paid whatever it cost to insure that another police officer didn't go down.
This police officer probably had people in the State Crime lab that would have messed up dna samples for him.
They probably would have said that the little 7 year old girl was just askin for it.
As long as you're a cop you can get away with stuff like this.
I'm surprised this officer wasn't promoted. Additional Details Taylor G says that the police shouldn't be questioned because they are authorities. Yaa, well if the police raped you you wouldn't be saying that.
This is an innocent little 7 year old girl and you should be ashamed of yourself.
If an ordinary civilian raped a 7 year old girl and admitted it he would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
First of all this cop admitted it to the state police and is counselor that he raped and sodomized this little 7 year old girl for a one year period.
This is not just a one time rape. This is an ongoing continuing criminal enterprise by a police officer.
He should really be punished. I'm surprised his neighbors haven't burned his house down with him in it. Or taken him out in the fields.
But I guess because he still gets paid by the police pension that he is still considered an officer of the law and if somebody did something to this police officer.
He would probably be condemned for assaulting a police officer.

If this story is true most police officers would be the first in line to say this guy should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Cops are just people like you or me, and anyone would find this disgusting. No decent human being has any use for a pedophile.

Seems he still financially supports the child. If his pension was taken away, the child may not have any financial support. Maybe the mom can't work and still relies on him for support. It's not always cut and dry, lock 'em up and throw away the keys. Other factors have to be taken into consideration.
I don't think that he should get off scott free, but it seems very naive to scream about his sentence. The legal system is not really about justice, it's about making the best "deal" for all parties involved.
Why do you think young, poor black males get the most prison time? They usually can't afford top-notch lawyers and have the least bargaining chips. Legal system does not equal justice system.

Hang the Fuckr: the crowd screams. Did someone entice the "cop" people just shouldn't use that in a headline.. to adopt to get around stricter laws for legally entering the country? I don't know.
Did the FBI entice the local cop into it. I don't know.
I do know that if the pipe doesn't fit the conduit... bad things happen.
It's just not a good.... fit. Very small black girl hesitantly pointed that out one late and lonely night. I think she would've been very disturbed about this.
It's an election year, though. People hunting for past indescretions. Not that some could bear a second look at.

He rapes a child and gets "early retirement." It's outrageous, and really shows you what law enforcement is about. They want to enforce the law if it serves them only. The parents of the child should sue him and take everything away from him, house, car, leave him penniless. He should not benefit from his "early retirement."

First you are confusing police and judges, No police are against child abuse, and are saddened that one of thier own would ever do this. This is obvious from the fact he was arrested.
The police are so upset at liberal judges who are allowing many child abuses to have light or no sentence at all.
But the news is full of judges giving 6 month sentences or probation or worst to these people.
But it is not the police that let them off, it is the judges who decide what happens.
Also it is not the police but the DA that decides to prosecute or not, the police have no say in this.
You are toatlly wrong about this, and only show your hatred of police officers blaming them when it is judges or DA's that are not doing thier job.
But alot of DA's don't push cases when the witness is a child and the child is not mentaly or emotionly able to be a good witness, This happens in all sorts of cases.
next retirment pay comes from a written contract, and is not part of the case, it is only a result of the attorneys and judges choice.
It is not right but the police are not the ones to blame, the DA and the Judge are the ones at fault here.
I am sorry you are totally misunderstanding how it works or what ahppend, and are letting a hate of police blind you on the facts

The occurrence you are talking about happens all the time, there was a high ranking police officer in a small town recently allowed to retire and is now working for another law enforcement agency. This officer has a long history of molesting 13 and 14 year old girls. One of his fellow officers is currently in the county jail awaiting trial on related charges and facing a long prison sentence. In some cases there is insufficient evidence to prosecute but an officer of the law should never be allowed to continue in a position of authority if their superior officers have enough evidence to force their removal.

It's a sad thought that these same people are serving and protecting us.( Is that what they call it ) Someone can go out and rob the corner store and more than likely get prison time out of it.Rape a 7 year old and walk free. The material things took from the corner store can be replaced. The 7 year old will have to deal with this for the rest of her life. Justice? I think not!!!!

ok.
i'm a cop..
but this is ******** sickening..
i am not naive to the fact that cops get away with alot of shi.t, i know this, but we're not all like that..this guy should have been held to a higher standard as a former cop, as most cops are..this is an insult, and an outrage. i would never cover for another cop in that situation - or any other situation where a law was violated- i don't care whether or not anyone believes that.. no one can question my integrity.
it's crazy - he should be burned alive..he sure as hell doesn't deserve a pension. sad thing is he'll proabably do it again. hopefully he gets what's coming..

You are barking up the wrong tree. He was a cop, and a piece of crap (all baby rapers should be tortured and then flushed). It is distastful that he would still get his pension, but if the rules allow it....What you are mad about isn't the fault of the Police Department. You need to be asking the folks in that jurisdiction just who they have in their corner when it comes to the prosecuting attorney - that's the office that decided what to charge the guy with and made the sentencing recommendations to the judge. That's the people responsible for deciding it was in the victems best interest. I am surprised the judge accpeted it. Perhaps he didn't have a choice. This guy was a step parent - what are the other parents saying? They can't be OK with this. If you live in this area, my advice would be to dig into this case as deeply as you can. Find out all the laws that applied, rules used, deals made, and all that - Then go public and get the law changed. There is no way this could have happened if the law there didn't allow for it.

A vomit inducing act like this is hard for one to even concieve that his fellow officers would sweep such hideousness under the rug. Never the less, if it were true, I'd have to say something should be done so that he must pee sitting down for the rest of his life, but leave him his nuts for kicking purposes...

I read the article, and this is an absolute miscarriage of justice. If an officer on my department was proven to do something like this, his biggest problem would be the rest of us. There would be officers lining up for a crack at him, and the Cheif would be up front. He certainly would not get his pension or anything of that nature. We watch each others backs, but that has a limit.
I have NO sympathy for an officer who would abuse a child like this one did. I would exercise my authority to it's fullest extent to see him arrested and in prison for a very long time.
I do resent the implication that all cops would excuse his actions, or get away with this. It's not true, and you lump a lot of fine people into a group with scum like this guy unfairly. This type of thing brings out a very emotional response, but to say that all cops are the same way just is not right. Hang him high and I'll provide the rope, but don't include me in a group with guys like him. I don't deserve that. You obviously feel very strongly about this , and I don't blame you. I hope you are just making a point, because some of your comments are really skirting the edge of reality. You make some pretty far reaching accusations that are not substantiatable in the real world (outside of Yahoo answers).

That is just horrible. I am for if someone that we teach our children to just trust is found guilty of harming them in anyway, they should held to the very least of the max sentence. If not a lot further. Before long children will not trust anyone, cops because of this and parents because we tell them to trust cops. The other bad thing about this is it gives all cops bad rap. Total unjustice was done here for that girl. Some times I wish we were back in the olden days... I would bring the rope.
