b	next time you should write the liscence plate of the car and some descriptions of it maybe if theres stickers, something wrong with the car (dents, marks) noticable ones as if it was in an accident. get the color, if its a dodge neon, of ford focus, call the cops from your cell and stay there till copps arrive or go into the store with all that info and tell the security or have someone there call 911 and then you can stay there for the cops to arrive. Built Ford Tough	i guess first call the cops bc it is a bad thing for a mother to abuse a child in this case, and depending on the weather, than you should bust the window open, if its really hot. if not, then don't bother and keep an eye on the kid till the cops come Was this answer helpful to you? Caitlin	Well, you call the cops and you make sure you also get the licenses number and if you have a picture phone which most people have you can also get a picture and have that as evidence in case the mother says that it did not happen. Its defintately not right to leave an infant in the car sleeping or not. The infant needs to be taken into the store or the mother needs to wait till afterwards to go to the store. Mobtownhitman	First of all I would have called 911, park my car behind their car and wait for the irresponsible person to return, keeping watch over the child. When they return, me and the person would have a few words. A couple of the words would be words you don't say in church. But if the want to roll around on the ground we could do that too. zucchinisyoucantkeepagoodonedown	I'm really impressed at your action, Teresa! Well done!! The stupid woman nearly killed her baby, and you were perfectly right to try to open the door. If it had been a hot day, you would have saved the baby's life. I would have broken the window on a hot day, without hesitation. Quite often cars are stolen with babies in them, too, with possible dire consequences for the children, as the car thieves don't care about them. You could have taken her registration number and a description of the vehicle too, and passed those to the police to follow up, even if she'd left the scene, as she was breaking the law.
