Insuranceman	There is no ONE insurance company that is right for everyone - everyone is rated individually - and all companies have different "likes and dis-likes", different credit tiers, different business models, and many other factors that can vary your rate - and a QUOTE is ONLY a quote until the policy is issued. Typically, insurance rates will vary from State to State and can even vary by ZIPCODE! It also will depend on the type of car/truck, coverages, limits of liability, and driving record. Some companies run credit scores and MOST run a motor vehicle report and CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report to see about undisclosed accident involvement. The best thing to do is call a LOCAL independent agent or broker. Don't go across town, or to some other city - look for someone CLOSE. Just look in the phone book for the PIA or Big I (Trusted Choice) logos and you will find a professional licensed agent that will be able to help you solve your insurance problems, and give you rate comparisons of several different companies. An independent insurance agent will normally have a dozen different companies and if he cannot help you, he should be networked with other local agents that can. In my agency, we have companies that do NOT run a credit score and welcome drivers with "less than perfect" driving records and specialize in youthful operators! The best thing to do would be to see about getting insured on your parent(s)' policy. Depending on your age - this might be the ONLY way as you have to be 18 or over to have your own policy. If you are under 18, you cannot legally sign a contract and an insurance policy IS a contract. Most of the replies on this site say "go to this on-line carrier or that on-line carrier or that 1-800 number" but I'm sure that when you do, you will find some impersonal computer user with a script to work from and you won't be able to talk with the same person every time you have a problem! hugh j	You can try to long hard way of shopping asround, or just go to confused.com, and they will check a lot of insurers, and come back with a list of quotes, then choose which one you want with the cover they offer. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

leah308	My daughter is 20, she drives a Nissan Micra, and is insured with Elephant.co.uk she found this was the cheapest after trying all the comparison sites. Best to shop around and try putting an experienced driver on your policy too we found that brought the price down a bit if you don't have any no claims to help you. Was this answer helpful to you? Ding Dong	There is no definitive answer to this. Use one of the price comparison sites such as moneysupermarket.com or confused.com. There is no one company that is the best for young drivers, on all cars, in all parts of the country. Insurance companies don't work like that. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

ajc11183	Well for younger drivers that's always going to be the case. At least you're a girl where as a guy can cost double for car insurance for the same age. Charisse K	Well, there are lots of companies online that you could get a free car insurance quote rate. You just fill-up the form and then compare it among the others. There are certain factors in getting your cheap car insurance. Depends on the car, state, age, driving record, etc. Don't go with sports cars and new model cars. They have expensive auto insurance. ben143138	hi i found my insurance quite expensive when i first started driving. found fortis to be the cheapest by far, although i use brokers, Fortis always come out cheapest. Also try and do your Pass Plus which gives you a discount of 10-15% I Believe. Alsao if your go through Quidco Portal you will get cashback on your premium. Others were not even worth considering because the premium came to around £1000. I was recommended Privilege from a friend, as that was the cheapest, and I have been with them since.
