rookethorne	Mine doesn't - it pays to keep an old car on the road as long as possible these days - £185 this year, £185 next year and £200 in 2010! chris at hornchurch	no real changes will take place. This is because they make the rules for themselves. it will only change IF ? we have like USA a box at bottom of voting ballots saying 'none of the above'. get the rest of population to vote as per Australia. Then.. we will see a massive change as MP's no longer ignore voters wishes or will lose job's etc. sadly it is very unlikely to happen as Most MP's are too happy with current payoffs etc. As to road tax ,this too will not change a lot , it will go up but I suspect this is the normal , 'prices going up 100% then after a hullabaloo drop down to ONLy 50% increse'. the 50% being what they wanted in first place but now everbody thinks they got a good deal. Kui Jai	A lot of us do find the government only interested in taxing us left, right and centre. They always say they do not have enough money to meet the expenses despite tax increases every year. Now we know it has gone to subsidise MPs' costs of living. I have ideas. But the law will not permit me to speak my mind just like the government does not listen to and care about mortals like us.
