mjsizzle	i hope some day you understand this I HOPE SHE GOES TO JAIL now that being said, yes she will probably be booked, then bailed out, then appear in court, then probably have to go to driving school,do community service,be without a license,pay fines and pay higher ins. premiums. and there may be other problems like being sued and if that happens that may take out your college fund as well as savings etc. so not only did she put her own life in danger but the entire family as well as the entire motoring public and your future so, love her but be VERY mad at her Was this answer helpful to you? gracie	well that happened to my brother and they held him for 42 hours. i think in some cases, they hold you for shorter hours... but yeah. it's for sure that her car insurance will go up and on top of that, since she has to report it to the police, she might get fined. a thousand bucks sounds pretty legit Was this answer helpful to you? fire4511	If she was in a single car accident, meaning that her car was the only one involved, and if your father gets there before the police, she might get away with this. If there is another car involved, she will be charged and may end up spending a good portion of the night in jail. She will most likely lose her license, and can possibly end up with a jail sentence. Your parent's car insurance rates will go up quite a bit, or the insurance company may cancel their coverage all together. I hope your mother is ok, and that she did not hurt or kill innocent people.
