Yes they will affect your insurance because you let him drive your car knowing he does not have a DL. Insurance companies will look as you being a high risk. It is your car and you are responsible what happens with your car and who drives it....next time be more careful who you lend your car to and make sure they have a valid DL.

Him driving your car and getting the tickets has nothing to do with your car insurance. You are safe, however he sounds like he is in trouble.

First ask him to pay you for the fines, and try to explain in the court, hopefully that only goes to his and not your record, or had affect to your insurance.

Usually the officer will tell you if you have the option of paying in advance instead of going to court. He needs to call the courthouse to find out. Yes it can effect your insurance if he continues to get tickets. You need to stop letting him drive your car until he gets his license and become a more responsible driver and wear his seatbelt.

ive never heard of having to go to court for tickets. i think someone gave you some wrong info. you just go to the clerk of courts and pay the tickets. do it before 90 days though of there will be like a $20 late fee for each ticket. and for the other question, no, it will not affect your insurance, because the tickets are in his name. only your points affect your insurance. so dont sweat it, it's all on him. good luck. i read some other answers, a lot of people are telling you to pay the ticket, nonsense. he signed those tickets not you. you are not responsible.
EDIT: sorry i guess i looked over him having a court date already. sorry, i guess it can happen lol. thats just weird though having to go to court for 2 minor tickets. ive had 2 tickets before at once, for speeding and one tail light out and i didnt have to go to court, ive never heard of going to court for tickets like that, but i guess it CAN happen!

You will have no penalties from his actions. As far as whether he needs to go to court, you will definitely want to double check with the court. They will let you know if it's ok to make the payment and not show up. All this does is say "Hey, I'm guilty, here's my money." The reason I said to call the court house, is because he may need to provide a written letter saying he pleads guiltly to the charges. At which point, they should say he is excused from the court hearing.
Your insurance will not be affected, as you did not receive a citation...
Lastly, don't let the uninsured drive your vehicle. You'll understand why, when he wrecks it...

His citation should state whether he still has to appear to court or not, even if he pays in advance. Your insurance should not be affected by this - due to there not being any accident or damaged caused by him that your insurance would have to cover.
Let me add one more thing: PLEASE tell me that he is NOT going to drive your car again, even if he begs!!
If he was to get into an accident; your insurance wouldn't cover it and you be without a vehicle and he would be out a lot of money and possible jail time.
Good luck!

the tickets stay with the driver, not the car and as long as he had a valid license and just did not have it with him, then yes they are both pre-payable tickets.

Sounds like you should have made sure he had his license first and told him to wear his seatbelt. Some men just don't think.
You need to pay the ticket, and they should send you a letter saying you don't have to go to court since it's paid off but to be on the safe side show up to court with proof that you paid it.
I don't let nobody drive my car.

the future looks bad with that one. unless he shows more responsibility like a grownup, you will be very foolish to ever let him use your car ever again. plan to move on fast. you are setting yourself up for an endless failure. move on and detach. he doesn't want to be your boyfriend, he just wants you use you like a mama figure. he doesn't have a clue. people are too slow to heed storm signals and head for safe harbor. don't wait another moment.
that is unacceptable, immature behavior and more of the same is certain. he just didn't learn at home and it is too late for you to change is views and beliefs. actions speak much louder than words. say good bye bf.

Is he on your insurance policy? If not, it will not affect your rates at all. If so, the rates may go up once the insurance company goes to renew your policy, since that is normally when they check driving records.
If he has already been set a court date, he clearly waited to long to pay the tickets. He can probably pay them and avoid going to court, but that is something you should check with the local court about.

As far as you pay the fine before the given date you don't need to appear in the court. You'll have to go to the court only if you want to defend the tickets. Also, I don't think it would affect your insurance rates..

Both citations pertain only to him. If he can present a license there will be less of a fine. Neither will actually be pooints on his or your record.

Okay, if he pays for it before th date, then no he doesn't have to go to court, but I would suggest going to court since that way he will probably also get a reduction in points, get 12 in a year and his liscense is suspended! Your insurance probably will go up some as a result. Next time don't let your boyfriend drive your car!

Why did you lend him your car? He hasn't got a license. You also have a responsibility to other drivers on the road and it possibly will affect your insurance, as he wasn't one of the drivers covered by your policy. Thats why you have to name drivers in the first place, so they can be checked out.

Your insurance rate is based upon your driving record - not his. These violations go against his motor vehicle record. The only time you have to watch with another driver in your car is parking tickets which are non-moving violations and will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. That's why when you sell a car you remove the plates. With friends like that who needs enemies.

You are very lucky he was not in an accident.
He could have hit someone and caused major damage, or even a fatality, and your insurance company would not have to pay, you would.
Any ticket going into the computor with your name OR your vehicle listed on it will be accessed by your insurance company. So it is very possible that you will get either a rate hike or a cancelation.
As soon as you allow an unlicensed driver to use your car, you have invalidated the contract you made with your insurance company.
He can pay for the seatbelt ticket, but he will have to appear in court for the no drivers license ticket. He has to go to court with a license, or show cause why he doesn't have one.
Why are you with a guy with so little integrity or respect for you that he would drive your car without a license?
This is the computor age. You always have to give the license number of your car so the insurance co. can put it in their computor. When that license plate is entered into the police computor, it is red flagged on your insurance companies computor.
They say, wow, Susie is letting some unknown to us, unlicensed driver behind the wheel of her car. WOW, he is also RECKLESS, he doesn't wear a seatbelt. We better cancel Susie's insurance because she's a fool.
