<----->	You will only be insured 3rd party with your 'drive other cars' extension on your policy, unless you are a named driver on your friends policy. Why don't you get your friend to find out how much it will cost to add you as a named driver to his policy, it might not cost that much. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Paul D	Unless he has an "any driver" policy, you'll only be covered third party. If you are that concerned, it may be worth him contacting his insurer to check how much it would cost to have you put on his policy as a named driver. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Bardic	You MIUST read your own insurance stuff very carefully. People assume that they are provided with third party cover to drive other peoples' vehicles. That is very seldom the case these days. Usually such permission is given, but ONLY in the event of an emergency. Be very careful. plotx59	The car must be insured by it's owner( normal user ) And you must have full comp insurance to be covered 3rd party on the borrowed car... You could be added to the owners insurance as a named driver if you intend to be borrowing the car for some time. You need to check the small print on his insurance docs. Good luck..
