let it go.
even if there were a bit of damage, it depends on what kind of person you are.
if you were like "OH MY GAWD YOU HIT MY CAR YOU FREAK!" I'd scrape money.
but if you were nice about it then I'd be like "it's okay, don't worry about it"

No, unless your a poor person who really needs the money, but still there is to much red tape and you'd need evidence. It also depends on who did it. If the person is really young or looks under the influence then definetly. If it's a mom or an older woman than no.

No, u should nvr file a claim eve. WHy would u do that, especially now? Itll just raise ur rates. All u should do, if theres damage is agree to pay him or him pay u wtvr u think its worht, and have nooone report it. That way no one gets screwed by all these scaming insurance companies. Ive nvr filed anything yet. Especially if theres no damage.

Happened to me before, nevel gonna let it happen again. The lady who hit my car started crying and said if I just take it to any shop and give her the appraisal, she would take care of it. I am yet to received a penny, and on top of that, she was really nasty on the phone when I called to ask why she was denying everything.
My advice, always file a claim, and if there are really no damages then no harm done, but you can't go back and change things, so call the cops and report it. Medical issues don't show that quick, sometimes take months. REPORT it.

no damage and I was ok? then I wouldn't get anything... insurances check and appraise dammages before they give out any money you know? it's not easy not to mention illegal, it's called fraude, long term jail time, not worth it.

If the person comes out and says hes sorry and is sincere, then I wouldn't file a claim.

this just happend to me....and all i did was call the cops, so its on record that i reported it... we exchanged information....but it was their fault...and no i didn't file a claim.....bc with the chance of my insurance going up i didn't want to risk it.....
and if you try to cheat some one...(yes karma is what i'm talking about)...it will come back and bite you in the ***....
and think about them...when their insurance goes up they may not be able to pay it...(happened to my boyfriend...)
do what feels right.....

has happened to me before and i didn't file a claim didn't feel like waiting for the cops and the report and all when there was no damage. they would have just wrote no damage on the ticket and you wouldnt have been able to get any money anyways unless you claimed pain and suffering and even then you would have to have a medical note stating that its true signed by a doctor! its not worth it if there is no damage just tell the driver to watch where he is going and keep driving.

I would still make the claim just in case there was damage to something other than the body, or you may wake up the next morning stiff.
You at least always get their info.

If there's no damage then no. It'd go on your insurance that you made a claim. So my insurance rate would go up. Plus if you have a deductable, you'd be paying that before insurance would cover anything anyway.
So why would I file a no-cost claim that would do nothing but make my rates go up?

I would get a contact, and probably ask for his insurance info.
I had a crash about 4 months ago. Well, the car got damaged and the insurance covered it. The lady that crashed me was nice, didn't throw any BS about it.
But at that moment, I felt pretty fine. Two days later I had to go to the medics because my neck was killing me. It turned out that the crash had whiplashed my neck, and I needed to use the neckbrace and go to PT. I called her insurance and told them about it and they covered it. If I didn't had that info, I would need to cover for the whole stuff.

Yes....you never know if there is internal damage....like alignment, axles...that kind of thing. its always better to be safe than sorry. It would suck if a month later your car started acting differently, and it was caused by another person......you will have to dish out the cash.

It would depend how/where you got hit.....there may be damage you can't see. But generally, if it was just a little bump or something, I probably wouldn't worry about it.
I would exchange info though just in case.

You can file a claim all you want. If there is no damage, the insurance company would deny the claim. I know, cuz I'm in the insurance biz.

If my car was fine and I was fine, I would file no claim. That would be insurance fraud and that is a federal offense. No way is that worth it!

I would take their information and file a claim to have my car checked out. You never know what problems may develop from the accident. My sister just went through it, and it actually turned out to be more serious than first suspected.
