Now you know that you should. It's the right thing to do. Yes, it seems lucky, but a little karma can affect your luck too. Tell the warden and pay for your own mistakes. You'll feel good about it!

The best thing to do would be take the ticket / call for the following: if issused by a council warden call them, if its issused by a Police officer take it to your local station both will ask for proof tho of vehicle details. If you leave the ticket you will find that after the 28 days has elapsed the fee will double.

can your conscience live with that? probably!
is your car on CCTV being given the ticket, they may be able to trace it when the person who has the registration number on the ticker proves they were not ther eat the time. Then again, how bad would it be if that person cannot prove it wasn't them and they get your fine?
I'd have to own up, but I know plenty that wouldn't.

I think since you are asking the question you have your answer. Yes. I am assuming that you did warrent the ticket and that some just did not move it from one car to another.

They have made an error so this ticket is not valid for you.
They put a ticket on my car once when I had a valid parking pass on my car. Luckily I proved them wrong so don't feel too bad about it. They won't!

I don't think you should pay, no. Sod all the crap about well you should pay to park and you wouldn't get caught etc etc etc. We pay for enough with our road tax and other taxes. The shops want us to spend our money in them so town centre car parks should be free.
Anyway saying that, I also don't think the person who prob has registration should pay either.
I woudl ring the company that issued the ticket by doing 1471 at the front of the number and inform them that they ticketed your car but put wrong reg details on it and as such that you won't be paying. Don't give them your name just the reg number that was on the ticket so that they know if it is an actual registered vehicle the other people don't have to pay either then you dont pay and have a clear concience that some law abiding citizen doesnt get your fine. Imagine it was that poor old granny from down the rd who struggles each week with her bills and so much so that she starves herself to fed the birds and stray cats...
Also do a check onlne to see if the registration they put down is actually on a vehicle - easiest way is just go to a car insurance site.

That's your call. However traffic wardens have also been known to carry digital cameras to take a picture of the offending vehicle. Therefore they will have a record of your number plate. You can bet that a manual mistake by a T W will not be grounds for your innocence. Good Luck

he made the mistake, not you, so why should you pay for that?
if it becomes a lawsuit, provide evidence (aka the ticket and your actual registration) to show that since it's not correctly documented you shouldn't pay it

It is their neglegence, stupid traffic warden, so no but imagine the look on the persons face who as that registration, I had a parking ticket arrive the other week, it was from three years ago, they said they could not find me, don't even own that car anymore, anyway went to court and they just through it out, so sometimes it is just a little angel smiling down on you with a finger in the air to the establishment he he.

After you've owned up to that, you could nip off to the police station to report yourself for speeding. Seems an unlikely thing to do! Consider it a warning about paying attention to parking rules, and reg.s and don't do it again.
If you listen carefully to the voice of your conscience you may hear Basil Fawlty saying "Who's a naughty boy" as he beats himself up.

Well if the ticket was meant for your vehicle and they put the wrong registration on it then the ticket is classed as null and void.

Why on earth should you pay for the warden's mistake. If I make a mistake at work, I have to suffer the consequences, why should he/she get away with it!
