Am I getting a good deal on car insurance?

betsy	That seems very high to me. Your ticket is 7 years old. Unless it was a very serious ticket it should not affect your rates. Another hint: I rarely receive tickets but when I have received tickets I have always hired an Attorney who specializes in defending traffic tickets to represent me in Court and challenge the ticket. I have won every ticket that I have challenged. That helps me keep my rates low and I have the satisfaction that I have challenged in court, some tickets that were clearly improper and I have won. If you hire an Attorney who specializes in these and he is already representing 4 or 5 other people at the same court on the same day, he will not charge you that much to defend you also. Especially if your ticket is a minor one and you go back to the same Attorney who won for you the last time. Do not try to represent your self in court. Every one that represented themselves in court that I saw lost their case. I selected my attorney by going to the traffic court about one week before my court date and watched the Attorneys who were representing people and I selected the Attorney that seemed to be winning all of his cases. That was many years ago. I still stay in touch with that Attorney so that I know that he will be available if I ever need him again. With respect to my insurance rates: I pay less than half of what you are paying, and I have just about everything that you can have on a policy including Collision, and I have the maximum liability coverage that they offer, not merely the minimum required.. I would shop around. I do not like to give out names of companies on this site because that just encourages commercial spammers. I will give you a hint though. I am in the State of California and I pay a membership fee to an Auto Club and I get my insurance through the Auto Club. The Auto Club is much less than I have been able to find anywhere else and I have done a lot of shopping for Auito insurance. There is probably an Auto Club in your State. The Auto Club for your State is one of the Companies that I would check. I did a lot of shopping for my insurance. Even when I had the policy with one company that I thought was good, I still kept shopping. The Auto Club has been the lowest that I have been able to find so far. provider	Thats not sound good for a very good record you had. I think the mcuh better to do is try to go for an online shopping to find a much cheaper car insurance rate. kity168	Hi,I have allstate too, I am paying about $205 a month for 3 cars in my household, one is 97 Nissian ,05 Hyundai, a old light truck Dodge. Of course we also have home insurance with allstate, they will give you a decent discount if you use them for all your insurance. As you turn 25, you should get a better rate since you reach the age break. A.J.	The way you start your post is wicked humorous... "I am currently a male..." Are you planing on changing to get a lower insurance premium? Anyway, depending on where you live and what you drive is what you should go by. When I was 24(15 years ago), it cost me $1400 a year to insure a 1975 Monte Carlo with Allstate in Brooklyn, NY. I don't know what you're driving now, but I would've killed for a rate that low. I can't complain now, I've got an Accord that's 10 yrs old and I'm paying $70 a month in Westchester, NY. with GEICO. Don't worry about that speeding ticket, most insurance companies don't hold that stuff against you for more than 4-5 years. If possible, try to see if you can take a Defensive Driving Course that might offer a discount on your premium. In NY it's good for 10% a year, for 3 years, a total of 30%.
