TwinkaTee	If you refuse to hire someone because they don't speak your language, then you are basically saying "Because you don't speak the way I do, you have nothing to offer." If you believe this, then you believe that your language is better than theirs - and when you believe this, you are a racist. A little farfetched, but I am trying to explain my train of thought. BUT, If you simply don't hire a person because the job they are hiring for requires them to interact in English, this would not be racist. It would be a job requirement. ee_wizard	Doesn't matter if they would be dealing with customers or not. If you run a business in the US and you do not speak the language of the person who wants a job then it is your choice to hie them or not hire them because if you can't communicate with them it is no different then if a customer cannot communicate with them. Not hiring them because they do not speak english is in NO WAY being racist. If someone wants a job they need to prepare themselves to meet the criteria of the job. Whether or not someone wants to admit it that DOES include being able to speak the language required to perform the duties of that position. That is THEIR responsibility....NOT yours.
