how much impact would it have on job creation if illegal immigration was to be stopped via tripling border security, HB1 visas were stopped, and a law was passed simply requiring that all retailers selling merchandise carry at least 50% inventory of products made in USA.
You see we can actually stimulate job creation for americans without huge tax cuts and without huge spending and bailouts.

Not while the traitors that care more about their career and image rather than the fate of this country still holds office. This isn't just the fault of one person but all of them. All the politicians who decided to turn a blind eye on this issue because they were too scared to deal with it should be removed from office and be replaced with someone who actually has the balls to do what has to be done.

As soon as you write your congressman and senator and tell them that you will vote them out of office. Congratulation 1 American came out of his coma. Now do more research and educate yourself and see how we were shafted yet again check this party the www.constitutionparty.org and vote for these folks. the impact will be significant. You want jobs, all illegal's to be removed from our country.

Tripling border security won't help a bit. Over half the illegals overstay a legal tourist visa. Until they crack down on the employers that hire them, illegals will be a problem.
If the retailers have to carry 50% made in USA goods, prices will double. Given a choice Americans always buy the cheaper of two items. They ignore where they are made. Besides a similar law made the great depression last 10 years instead of two years as it made goods more costly and it meant foreign countries did not have the money to buy made in USA goods.
As for H-1B people, please yes cancel mine. I will go back to Canada and take the 20 US jobs that depend on my work back to Canada with me. And the $500,000 per month of export earnings my work brings to the USA. If more Americans would take up engineering in school you would not need H-1Bs. Instead your brighter kids take finance instead to make a killing on Wall Street and we see where that has gotten us.
The H-1B holders keep work (and their taxes) in the USA where otherwise those jobs would just be done outside of the USA.
My point is that the world is more complicated than you think.
