yadontscurme	Yes English was the language chosen for the United Stated. When my grandparent came here they spoke no English and had to learn. Think about it if we went to other country's and didn't speak the language we would be A**ed out wouldn't we cause they aren't gonna change their language to accommodate us. CaraAndDavid	Yeah, every country needs one basic language so we can all communicate with each other and understand laws and what not. In Miami however, Cubans are taking over the population, making spanish Miami's main language, which causes major controversy. beyond loved	should be, yes...but it obviously is not enforced. us citizens are not required to speak english. drives me crazy, although there is nothing i can do about it. when i call the automated system for my bank, another language is the first option...same for my cell phone company.
