Mostly its for better opportunities... apart from that Indians can survive at any place of earth, they have their own people (fellow indians) spread all over the world, so they dont hesitate in moving out to any place when there is a need...

Hi!! This is not only Indians... people tend to think that grass is greener elsewhere... Here (Mauritius) more than half the population is from India, and the rest of it is from Africa, Europe, China etc... I do believe people wont feel at home elsewhere than in the country where they were 'born and bread', but that's only m opinion. However, changing country to be treated as a 3rd class citizen is not a solution for me, so long live Mauritius! :)

Hi all,
I my self being an NRI I would like to share why we Indians love leaving our own country.
I must agree even though I earn more than my friends in India is still un happy with what I 'm today.
It's my philosophy that it's in Indian blood that we are not satisfied with what we are and this is one of the reason we have are in millions outside India.
Most of the people who ran away were poor but there are N number of well off Indians who not only went out side India but became nationals of other countries. those people did not like India for many reasons like the over crowded ness, the cleaniness, the corrupt officals and political leaders.

Because despite having an image of a booming economy, India is suffering from massive unemployment, poverty and overpopulation. There is a massive exodus from India to richer countries. This is known as economic migration.
