you can go to police station with your birth certificate and get it signed . chemist, financial adviser, lawyer, doctor, head teacher, bank manager, senior army officer.

Anybody who knows you for at least 2 years that is not related. I actually asked my boss to do it. I received my passport with no problem. All else failing, if you have recently moved & no one around has known you for long enough, the post office can do it (As it said on the application. As you are in front of them, they can varify your photograph & signature.

A professional: we have used dentists, doctors, solicitors, barristers, school head teachers -- you can also use policemen. Basically they want someone they can trace if they have to.
