No. I am not going to say anything nasty. Obviously it was just a mere topographical error. Let the others have their fun at Your expense. However You may wish to contact 'The British Council' with Your enquiries about contact numbers. See, not nasty.

The UK wouldn't have an Embassy. A embassy is a location of "foreign soil" to provide assistance from your home country. Being a English person, you wouldn't need this stuff as you would have access to all the local services. But I assume you're referring to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office located at King Charles Street, SW1A 2AH. Main switchboard 020 7008 1500

There's the home office & there's various depts depending on what you need from them - if it's for a passport, try the home office first

there isn't one. an embassy is a country's permanent point of residence in another country (like having your foot in the door)
in the uk, instead of an embassy we have the home office... that's about the closest you're gonna get...

There isn't one. There is a passport office and various other services offered by British Embassy Consular services overseas are, naturally, available in the UK but an embassy is the seat of an ambassador and the UK, obviously, doesn't have a special English Ambassador. The nearest British Embassy to Britain is either Paris or Dublin.

There isn't one. You don't need an embassy of the host country. The point of an embassy is that it carries out the affairs and diplomatic relations of a country in another country, and looks after the citizens of the embassy's country, so if you got in trouble with the law while in India then you could go to your country's embassy for assistance. You don't need a British embassy in Britain, because British people (the ones who'd use the embassy) could go to a court or whatever.
Just in case you DID mean US, the US embassy is in London (24 Grosvenor Square, London, W1A 1AE) Edinburgh (U.S. Consulate General Edinburgh, Scotland, 3 Regent Terrace,
Edinburgh EH7 5BW) Belfast (U.S. Consulate General, Belfast, Northern Ireland, Danesfort House, 223 Stranmillis Road, Belfast BT9 5GR)
