nochickenhead	The UK wouldn't have an Embassy. A embassy is a location of "foreign soil" to provide assistance from your home country. Being a English person, you wouldn't need this stuff as you would have access to all the local services. There is a passport office and various other services offered by British Embassy Consular services overseas are, naturally, available in the UK but an embassy is the seat of an ambassador and the UK, obviously, doesn't have a special English Ambassador. Mordent	There isn't one. You don't need an embassy of the host country. The point of an embassy is that it carries out the affairs and diplomatic relations of a country in another country, and looks after the citizens of the embassy's country, so if you got in trouble with the law while in India then you could go to your country's embassy for assistance. You don't need a British embassy in Britain, because British people (the ones who'd use the embassy) could go to a court or whatever.
