None. Because all branches of the military advocates the killing of innocent lives. Do something more worthwhile with your life.

I think it depends on what you want to do career wise and what your particular situation is. You'd also want to consider if you wanted to join the full time regular service, or if you wanted to join the guard or reserve component. I think what you should do is look at the various recruiting sites (www.goarmy.com, www.navy.com, www.airforce.com, www.marines.com) for the military and compare what they're offering.

If you have a little criminal record and just average test scores, the Army.
If you have just above average test scores and don't mind being away from home alot, the NAVY.
If you have average test scores and as patriotic as the come, the Marines.
If you want to say your in the military and have the best quality of life and the most family oriented branch of service and you have great test scores, the AirForce.
Be proud that you want to serve this great country in which you live in and which provides you the freedom to have your own opinion and to choose what you do in life.

This is a tough question. I've spent two or three decades in the service, and I'd have a hard time answering you without talking to you for a while. I think you should speak to a recruiter from each of the four (five, counting the Coast Guard) services. A few minutes now, armed with some salient questions, will save you a couple of years of regret. The right choice will become apparent after you speak to each of them, but make sure to talk to all of them before making a decision. Good luck, and God bless you for wanting to serve.

The Air Force because when you get out of the military and go back to the civilian world and you were in the Air Force, you will have more opportunity to get a job vs. any of the other branches.

Do not seek your advice from forums such as these. These are filled with vitriolic deceivers and radicals from both sides. Talk to the recruiters from each branch, but realize that they are salesman trained to gain your favor and service. Talk to your family, your friends, and finally, yourself. You will make the right decision if you do not make it hastily. Finally, you do not mention which country you are seeking to serve. If you be a friend of freedom, Godspeed. If you be a foe, let the last thing you think on your dieing day be this, that the desire for freedom and an unhindered human spirit is most powerful and will usurp all attempts at tyranny and domination.

Before you enter the military you should think "is this the field I wish to enter one which I can use when i get out." If you know what career you wish to pursue, check all branches to see which one offers the best training in this field.

None of them. See Sul73's answer above. The cheap degrees, etc - they're not worth it.
Teaching, medicine, manual labour; these are far more noble pursuits, and all pay well. Work in a call centre, fer chrissakes.
