yes ,Lebanese citizens need a visa for Greece,
if you go as a tourist? you will not be able to change your status,the basic stay is usually 90 days, depending on the consulate,
to study in Greece,you must know your major and studies in which you want to orientate yourself,before entering Greece,
once accepted in a school, university, then, you may apply for a student visa, you need to be able to finance your studies,your basic needs,financial proof will be asked and verified.
a background check... criminal records, overstay on any visa....etc.

People who hold Lebanese passports need a visa to visit Greece, which is a member of the Scehngen Travel Area. You may apply for a Schengen visa at the nearest Greek embassy/consulate or if there is no Greek embassy/consulate in your country, you can apply for a visa at the nearest European Union member embassy. Typically Schengen tourist visas last for 3 months and are valid for travel within the EEA excluding the UK and Ireland. Changing your status while in the country may or may not be allowed under Greek law, you best check with the embassy.
Why don't you apply for a student visa? Once you are issued that, you won't need a tourist visa to visit anywhere within the Schengen Area and may stay until your courses are finished. Some countries even allow you to work part-time while on a student visa.
