Command respect?? You must realize the hatred will always be coming from someone... No matter what we do. America IS the greatest country in the world....If that pisses anyone off, I truly do not care. And for all of you "America haters" out there, If YOUR country was in need of help, you would be begging us for it. And if you say otherwise, you are lying.

Our country is falling apart because we welcome illegals, condone same sex unions, and believe everything is ok as long as we don't hurt anyone. Our president has nothing to do with our country falling apart. We are just too far gone and people have brought this on our country

No.
1) The world is always "falling apart." The idea that we are in an immediate crisis, as opposed to continual crisis, is the abject invention of a media industry eager to sell one more can of dog food to an idiot audience. Is the present moment any more "in crisis" than the 1973 oil embargo, Vietnam, 1962 missile crisis, Korea, WWII, etc. etc. etc.
2) The failure of leadership is not due to an inability to "show a moral compass," it is because the Mr. Bush, the Republican party, and 60,000,000 American voters insist on their OWN moral compass rather than material solutions for world problems. Is it at all worthwhile pointing out that both Iran and Korea had agreed to international monitoring of their nuclear programs when Bush came into office in 2001, they refusal of the new administration to live up to the agreements that had been made :
"The Bush administration, however, has sent mixed signals about its intentions toward North Korea. Pyongyang argues that the United States has not lived up to its commitment because President George W. Bush called North Korea part of an "axis of evil" in January 2002. North Korea also accuses Washington of targeting North Korea for a "preemptive nuclear attack."
In September 2002, the Bush administration released a report which emphasizes pre-emptively attacking countries developing weapons of mass destruction. It explicitly mentions North Korea. In addition, a leaked version of the Bush administration's January 2002 classified Nuclear Posture Review lists North Korea as a country against which the United States should be prepared to use nuclear weapons, although it does not mention pre-emptive nuclear strikes."

Why would anyone "respect" a president who insists on a policy of everyone subscribing to his "moral compass."

Why is our world falling apart? how stupid! The president has nothing to do with this. It's the bleeding hearts down their in washington promoting welfare, illegals, same sex marriage, and anti-war. North Korea...we have no control over them...NO ONE EXCEPT CHINA/RUSSIA DOES!!! The liberals need to realize this. This world is weak because the people in it are.

which one: command respect, or show a moral compass? I think it is because he can not command respect. Morals are very subjective but respect is objective.

No, its just that the democrats can not find effective leadership to put up a fight for the presidency.. People are not Stupid they are not going to follow LOSERS ...may be by 2012.. I have to wonder what would have happened if someone like Kerry would have been president .. We would be hitting the enemy with our male purse...

No our world is falling apart because people no longer know how to treat each other. Instead of working together the people at the bottom are too busy fighting each other over race, religion, etc., while the fat cats at the top, like President bush, keep getting richer. They use things like TV and immigration reform to distract from the shady things they do. It may sound cliche' but there are more little people than there are big people and maybe if we all worked together we could make the world a better place for EVERYONE, Because through Christ, Allah or whatever all powerful being you believe in, ALL things are possible.

No the world is falling apart because extremism in anything is a bad thing... History will show that Bush isn't as much of a moron as our media portrays him... Also, Machavelli, is it better to be feared than loved? Feared because it lasts longer!

There it is!!
The ancient war between Israel and its neighbors, Iran (who declared war on us in 1978) and North Korea who are basically still at war with us since the 1950's
But its all George Bush's fault.
Listen children, just because your view of history is from when you first got out of diapers till today (about 10 years for most of you). The world is just a bit older then that. Everything going on today, has it roots back decades or even centuries. I am just so happy Bush is not getting all fussy over Israel and telling them they need to stop. Israel will take care of its own problems we just need to get out of their way.
North Korea is a pathetic dying little nation, that is desperately seeking some attention. That is not to say that they could cause some damage to their neighbors, but they are simply not as great of a treat as everyone seem to think.
Iran is probably the biggest danger, of course they have have 30 years to plot against us, without reprisal. For you youngin's go read up on the Iran hostage crisis in 1978 or 79. They have been at war with us since then, the only thing we have done since them is ignore them. But time is running out... and they are next on the list.
