richardnattress	Not yet, the debate here in Canada and the US still goes on. Several new rules are being considered however It again seems it will soon be necessary to carry a passport. cbmaclean	Gucci Girl has it wrong. American border guards can and do ask for ID on occassion, but proof of citizenship is good enough, and usually Canadian citizens just need picture ID, till next year. Time will tell. I doubt if the US and Homeland Security will get this passed, as the trade with Canada and the US is the largest trade of any 2 coutries on the globe, and business will hurt by new restrictions like this. rigbyelinor	No, a Visa is not required for just visiting; however you will need some sort of photo ID such as a Driver's Licence or your Health Card, etc. and your Birth Certificate is now needed (if you don't have a Passport) as you must show Proof of Citizenship.
