his speech sounded like a legit step
toward peace, to me.
call extremists
terrorists instead of islamic...
investigate and prosecute the goyim who say they're jews, but are not... who sodomize, pimp and abort the children of israel. reduce aids. allow gay marriage and outlaw promiscuous sodomy. child molesters should be ,`,`,arked on the face, tethered, castrated and given phrikken labotomies. condemn and abolish legal minor abuse, prostitution, child abortion, and mandatory idf service in israel. dissolve the federal reserve. return to the gold standard. save the usa and israel.

Nutcase. Look, this guy ACTUALLY believes that he will bring back the 12th Imam, the "muslim messiah" who will cleanse the earth of us infidels and bring about the age of universal muslim peace. They are renaming streets in Tehran for this glorious event.

Nut job... he barely won the presidency and has to cater to his power base to keep what power he has and build a broader base of support for re-election. He is not overly popular at home so this confrontation is his way of trying to garner. When other countries speak out against him his countrymen see it as an attack on their country, not the president, and they blindly defend the president as a show of patriotism.
Wait a second... Why does this sound so familiar?

I think that he has a legitimate beef with the west because he is already perceived as a threat to the west without his even saying so. President Bush called him and his country along with some others the "axis of evil". Therefore, If I were in his place, I would make sure that I had a deterrent to any other country invading my country. If it be nuclear then so be it..........

He's scared because Israel has the nukes. He's scared of the West, too. It disturbs me that he wants to have them, too. But I think that alot of people aren't going to be united on the issue. That is a result of the division in the US over Bush.
Seeing as EVERYONE in the Middle East is a nutcase by Western standards, and being Western myself, I say Nutcase. But I see every last nation in the middle east that way.
I assume that the cultural differences and customs cause them to misunderstand us, too.

Nut case with out a doubt. I have a video where he (Ahmadinegad) was on the mic with a loud speaker publicly ruining over an 8 year old child's arm because he stole food.
Big time nut case if you ask me who in such high power would say the they wanted to push a whole country into the Sea. Or a world without the USA is achievable?

I'd say a bit of both, but what is really important is what he thinks since he's the one in a position of influence.
and let's face it; he's pissed with the current state of the world and, like almost everyone else, he identifies the U.S. as the culprit. In fact, it is the current dominant economic system which is causing most of the world's problems. The fact that the U.s. controls the World Bank, the United Nations, et.al. it is very difficult for disenfranchised folk not to blame that country for everything that is wrong.
Yes, I do think many nations have a legitimate beef with the West.
