I_Love_McRedneck
That's kinda creepy because you should have raised them as brother and sister, not as 2 random strangers.

I would say it's ok because they are not blood related. But then when you think about it, It's kind of not right. It is their choice. But yeah.. GROSS.

Uh - yeah, that's sick. I'm adopted and I would NEVER look at my brothers that way!!! They are my BROTHERS and if your children are falling in love, then you haven't done a very good job of raising them. Sicko.

Wow, that is a hard question! Technically, there is no reason for them to avoid marriage. The main reason that it's not acceptable for family members to marry is that they have a greater chance of passing down familial diseases and conditions to their children. This would not be a risk factor if adopted siblings got married.

On the other hand, if your adopted children are raised in the same house as siblings, I don't think it would be appropriate to permit or encourage sexual attraction between them. Certainly they can love each other, as any brother and sister would. But it shouldn't go beyond that.

If they are fully adopted, they are legal siblings, and in most states they would not be able to marry.

Hm, I am not sure. It would depend on how long they were brother and sister ( a few months? A year? 15 years?). It happens a lot with step-siblings. I think I would have to analyze how they grew up and if there was ever a "brother and sister vibe" going on.

If they were adopted young and raised together for 10 years or more, I think it's a little gross. But hey, you can't choose who you fall in love with. And be glad that if they conceive... it's not incest and there are not risks of birth defects.

First they wouldn’t be able to get married because they would legally be siblings. No I don’t think its ok at all even more that they grew up together and are siblings even if not genetic. Like there aren’t enough fish in the sea.

if they grew up together, then no, but if there were years difference in their childhood with me, then no. If they had found love that way, why stop them.

i would say no. under the circumstance that they grew up together as brother and sister it just seems wrong

Well, it would be mentally damaging and socially inacceptable to have the children find out that they are related just by family name. It would still be considered incest, and I am sure that it is illegal in most states. I don't think you should let that happen though, because of the social pressure that the kids would sustain would just be too great, and then it would probably come back to haunt you because you are their legal guardian, and so on...However, the answer is no I wouldn't, and yes it's still SICK!

I would not let them do that. Since he is your adopted son he is legally her brother. I am pretty sure there is a law out that somewhere prohibiting people from doing that.

JJ's and Ki's Mommy
I personally wouldn't. Granted there is no blood relation, but they are still brother and sister. If they are raised their whole lives like that. I really couldn't let them do that. To me, its still wrong, because they were raised to be brother and sister, not lovers.

That is no bright side because then the adopted child isn't allowed to acknowledge their biological root.
