Bus driver's should have to were a seat-belt because if you are in a car you can get a fine if you don't, so whar makes bus drivers different

I don't know where you live, but it is law in all 50 states in the United States, that bus drivers must use seat belts.

Hi, I'm a bus driver in Australia and alot of the older model buses don't have them fitted to the seats as there is no way to anchor them down. If the bus is fitted with a seat that have belts, there is no law saying that we don't have to wear them. It's up to the individual driver to wear them or not, I wear mine and so do all my colleagues.

Bus drivers belted in are helpless targets. Every major city has had incidents of drivers being attacked by hoodlums on the bus, and if you can't stand up you are likely to be killed before you can even reach the buckle.
Those attacks, which started many years ago, are the sole reason bus fare is exact change or tickets, not like in the 60s when drivers actually carried change.
Besides, in the event of an accident, a bus driver is a lot safer than the driver of a car.
