hot wheels	The older people over 28 are asking; if teens should drive!! The truth from NHTSA and the NSC is; teens are 14% of the drivers but they are accountable for 30% of the crashes and 29 of them die each day!! The older people account for the most people on the road with less driver crashes per capata than young drivers. Yes, it's true some old drivers and some young drivers should not be driving. It is similar for young drivers that do 90 mph or 200mph . They should never drive again! And, It is the same for impaired seniors that should give it up because they are on meds that comprimise their ability to drive or have anger/mental problem and should call it quits too! The age problems are both mental conditions or choices. The law wants their priviledges of driving without concern for others pulled forever and all of the state's intellegent safety people agree! Vince M	If you are trying to call attention to a particular age group who is responsible for more collisions, injuries and deaths, then you should be asking if males, between the ages of 16 and 25 should be allowed to drive. The population of drivers over 60 has much fewer driving incidents than the younger ones. Look up the REAL statistics, put out by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Institute for Highway Safety, and the American Automobile Association, instead of listening to and reading people's personal "opinions" about who should, or should not be allowed to drive. There was a time when popular opinion was that women were bad drivers and Asians were, supposedly, incapable of driving safely. The facts proved that this was all rubbish. ramarao p	why not.....they will be most considerate to other road users and certainly would have learnt to follow the rules and behave in a disciplined manner, They will also not indulge in road rage... By the way in todays society ... how many sons are driving their parents around ?. They are leaving the old people to fend for themselves. so naturally it becomes essential for them to drive. Ted R	That is a good question. I am 74 years old, have driven since my teens. I am in good health, my vision is excellent and can't recall having an accident. I drive at or slightly above posted speed limits and observe warning signs. My gripe is with people who drive at half the posted speed limit and never look in the rear view mirror. Those over cautious drivers cause more "road rage" and pose more danger to themselves and others than any age group. Certainly seniors with good driving habits are safer drivers than the over exuberant youth. After all experience does count. Ask any Senior !! Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Ruby Jane	Why would you even ask that question.As long as a person has all their faculties about them,they know the road rules and are capable in every way possible,then yes.People much older than 60 drive and quite competently.l believe their are far more accidents caused by young people today than the oldies !! holly	Believe it or not 60 is not old. My mother is still driving well and she is 78. There are good and bad drivers of all ages. The most unsafe drivers are the young and inexperienced. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

NightFire	My father is 70, and still scares me as much as he did when he was 40..... So long as you are competent to drive, I have no problems with it. I doubt you would realize someone over 60 anyway.... Most people I know who are in their 60's are very difficult to tell apart from people in their 40's and 50's, my own dad looks to be about 50.
