No as long as you slow down to a safe speed and there wasnt a sign posted no right turn on red, you should be able to beat it, unless you made the turn at an unsafe speed and without slowing down.

Plead no contest that means that your admiting that you did do something wrong but that you have an explanation behind it you know it was wrong to turn without hesatating but it was not illegal to make the turn

If you have the time to spend the day in court. They can't increase the fine so it can't hurt, plus it keeps a cop off the streets for a day.

you can go to court and if the cop that wrote the ticket doesnt show you will be off the hook . however if he does you wont have a case regardless of your explaination. and you will have to pay the fine.

Think about it. The cop, the DA and the judge all work together. They are many times friends and go to the same parties together and some are even dating each other or married. It is your word (someone they don't know ) against their friends.

If you didn't stop, then yes, you should plead guilty. Don't buy into the "no contest" plea suggestions; such a plea won't help you in this case. A "no contest" plea works when there is the possibility of a civil trial, in which a "guilty" plea would sink any hopes of winning a civil trial. Also, when you plead no contest you don't have to present any type of defense, which helps to avoid giving the plaintiff in a civil trial any ammunition against you.
Unless you crashed into someone because of your failure to stop, a no contest plea would be worthless. The court will still find you guilty and the penalty won't be any less than if you plead guilty.

Plead no contest and ask the Judge if you can take the "" driver improvement course""" and be respectful to the court proceedings -------the course will help keep the ticket off your record and you can take the completed certificate to your insurance company and get a discount (((call in a blind manner to the ins. co. to be sure this works at your company))).....good luck in court.....wc

In most cases, if you just pay the fine, no more will be said about it. If you contest it, you will have to post bond, which may be more than the fine. Then when you appear in court and are found guilty, you forfeit the bond and have to pay the court costs. The court costs may be more than the fine.

If there was a camera, it could have video. If a cop saw you do it, plead not guilty and hope he doesn't show up for court. You can always change your plea to guilty and request traffic school. You can go to traffic school if you haven't done it in the past 18 months and if you complete it the citation wont go on your record.
The fine is $400+ dollars by the way.
I got nailed twice by traffic cameras.
The fine is set by the state and the judge can't reduce it.
I like to speed and fiqure if it I get caught, its my fault.
Instead of lying or fighting it, just pay the fine if you did the crime.

NO. Not if you ARE guilty. Almost every day some dummy comes close to hitting my rear bumper when I stop COMPLETELY before turning on a red. The LAST guy that DID, shoved my trailer hitch right through his grille and radiator, and caused no damage to my truck. Tough luck, pal.
Most ca. courts in metro areas will no longer allow you to appear on a minor traffic offense. Maybe smaller towns will though.

It is a relatively minor ticket. Pay it, and thank your lucky stars you weren't in collision with a vehicle legally in the intersection. What part of "red light" do you not fully understand?

A stop sign means STOP, if they wanted you to roll through, it would say"roll through", right?

If you know you are guilty, plead guilty. Pay your fine and move on with your life. I got ticketed once for a rollling stop. I know I was guilty. I had probably done that same thing dozens of times, and it was finally time to pay the penalty. You know, I have never made another rolling stop in over a decade since then.
