As you all know I've been lookin for a Mitsubishi Eclipse convertable. I want to get it know because winters comming and it's going to be cheaper. I want to know if I buy it now that it's going to last until summer of 2009? Through the winter? I have a garage I could store it in please help!!

It will be just fine and using the garage is a great idea while not using it, drive safe.

First, Your auto insurance will not cover the convertible top if it is damaged from the weather. Second, Yes you should be alright for the winter. Just make sure you use a good convertible top conditioner, this will help keep it soft. Third, Make sure you are very careful when you are removing the snow from the top and scraping your windows. The ice scraper will tear the top very easily, especially wen it is so cold. It would be a very good idea to park it in the garage any time that you are home. Take care of it and it will be all right. I have owned 2 convertibles and both were driven in the winter in Michigan.

Any newer car should be able to last through at least a winter even if you leave it outside. If it just being outside breaks your car, then you bought a very crappy one indeed.
Of course it could be accidentally damaged by the weather like any car, but that isn't too likely. Just drive carefully and don't crash and your car should last many winters.
