No not at all. It kinda grows on you. It becomes second nature. After you learn the basics and practice, its a breeze. But just because you drive safely, doesn't mean everyone else will. So you MUST be careful and keep your eyes on the road.

Well learning to drive is not hard. Harder if your learning with a stick... But the hard part about driving is getting use to it. You have to ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings, be sure no one is driving carelessly enough to cause an accident as well as whether you could cause one. All this while maintaining all driving laws. It can be difficult and dangerous. BUt driving its self is easy!

it is at the start, especially if you have no experience. But the more you practice the easier it will be. My advice isto stick at it. Having your driving licence is a really valuble thing, and the sooner you get it the better
Good Luck!!

It's not hard. You need to be very aware of what is going on around you. You can be the best driver, just watch out for the other guy.

no, but I will tell u from years of experience. Drive with caution always.
Give yourself some distance from the cars in front of you. Never tailgate if possible. Use your turn signal always. Dont be distracted if possible.
Do not ever text while driving and use your cell phone behind the wheel sparingly, or not at all. You will not believe that knuckleheads that have a license!! You have to watch out for them. Just do your best and drive a lot with an experienced driver and youll pick it up in no time.

Yes, yes it is. It takes alot of practice and listening to advice. I, for one, feel like I was turned loose way to early with a false-sense of confidence.
Driving today is getting only more and more difficult as cell phones and text messaging enter the scene. Basically, it means that you have to watch out more for what other people on the road are doing in order to avoid the danger they provide.
This means, take time to LEARN to drive before you really try it full-fledge on-your-own. Learn to respect other people on the road. Learn to be patient and most of all DEFENSIVE in your technique.
There are too many people out there in a rush to do there simple little things that don't take into consideration the hazards they cause for other people on the road. Don't become another hazard. . .

Not really.
As long as you remember that your car is essentialy
a couple of thousand of pounds of deadly force that
could easily kill a person when it is not being operated
correctly.
Not really...
After 20 years of driving a car without ever having any
major collision, I honestly admit to being a lousy driver.
Until I finally manage to learn to foresee what all the other
drivers around me are up to in the next 10 seconds...
I consider myself a lousy driver.
So being that I am lousy at it here is what keeps me from
getting into major trouble:
I use my rear view mirror to make sure that the guy behind
me is conscious and isn't going to end up in my trunk.
Being that I don't trust him I check on him/her every 3 to 4 seconds.
I deeply respect any vehicle around me that is bigger than mine.
(i.e. I never drive next to an 18-wheeler because if he decides
to change lanes and I am in his blind spot I won't have enough time to call him everything in the book because I will be dead.)
I am courteous to any idiot at a stop sign that even slighly shows signs of not knowing whose right of way it is.
Go ahead... take it... I would rather not deal with a dent in my car.
I keep a safe distance to the car in front of me.
If he decides to hit the brakes, I make sure that I have enough
time to stop behind him and not stop in his trunk.
I try not to speed... at least not when traffic is heavy, the road isn't straight and the weather is lousy and when my intuition tells me that this would be a perfect place for CHP to pull a driver over for a ticket.
(In 20 years I have never gotten a speeding ticket...)
I leave "trouble" behind me because if it is in front of me their
mistakes could affect my own well being.
If I can't get around it safely... I will keep a huge distance between me and the problem driver.
I don't use a cell phone while I am driving.
I don't look at my passenger when they are talking to me.
(Most of the time I tune them out because I have better things to pay attention to... like the idiot driver up ahead that can't manage to stay in his lane...)
I use both hands on the steering wheel.
I am aware that kids that cross the road don't look at me as a threat.
I try to make sure they don't have to find out the hard way that I wasn't paying attention to them.
I never drink and drive, eat and drive or turn around in my seat to yell at somebody in my backseat...
I make sure my car's defenses are working right.
My brakes are in tip top condition, my tires are inflated correctly
and the lights and blinkers are working.

No but it's extremely easy to get in an accident/kill yourself/kill someone else if you are being careless when driving. You need to be paying attention at all times because if you take your eyes off the road for even a second, it could result in an accident. Don't be careless and mess with the radio or anything. It's not a joke.

It is when you get into the car your very first time, but once you learn what to do its a piece of cake. Just remember to be respectful of others on the road and to obey the laws and you'll be fine.
