You have reduced the sidewall, with the wider tire you can feel every little crack in the road, and putting different shocks and stronger springs will only make the ride a lot stiffer....

Call Jegs and look into an air-ride suspension kit and that will improve your ride a lot better overall.
you went from a 16 1/2 tall tire to a 18 1/2 tall tire and wider so you have more of a foot print on the road so you will feel more of the bumps but thats what you get with the wider tire not much to do with it..and not that much to make a difference in the ride your shocks could be wore out if have over 50,000 miles on the shocks you might want to invest in new shocks...
